
This application was designed with the aim of promoting oral hygiene including (familiarity with morphology teeth, time teeth eruption, daily brushing and flossing, familiarity with fissure sealant, familiarity with fluoride therapy, familiarity with endocarditis and etc.) for children and adolescents (aged 3–18 years) with cardiovascular diseases and their parents.
Congenital heart diseases (CHDs) are the most common type of birth defect. Success in the early detection of congenital heart diseases depends on a large extent on physicians’ awareness of newborns, infants, and children clinical examinations.
This guideline has been developed with the aim of early detection of congenital heart diseases after conducting a pilot study in Isfahan (in phase 2) and trying to implement the program throughout the country after providing the necessary infrastructure in 4 chapters:
The main goals of the screening system for hypertension in adolescents with primary hypertension in Isfahan are:
1-To determine the prevalence of high blood pressure in adolescents aged 12-18 years
2- To determine the prevalence of essential and secondary hypertension in adolescents diagnosed with high blood pressure in Isfahan
3-To develop a platform for a pediatric cohort on essential hypertension
The first registry program of CHD in Iran was begun in the Iranian city of Isfahan, in 2016, under the title of “The Persian Registry Of cardioVascular diseasE (PROVE/CHD).
The objectives of the PROVE/CHD Registry are as follows: 1) to define the incidence of CHD in the city of Isfahan in 5 outpatient clinics (three private clinics and two university outpatient clinics), 2) to determine the known risk factors of CHD, 3) to enhance the quality of care, and 4) to pilot register patients with CHD and determine problems regarding further national CHD registrations.
